When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in early 2020, every task that could adapt to a remote activity did—fitness classes, happy hours, even doctor's visits—and, crucially, the workday. But plenty stayed in-person, partly depending on the task or job. A Pew Research Center survey conducted in October 2020 found that 71% of people who could do their jobs remotely were working remotely. Still, lower-income workers were less likely to be doing so, regardless of what their job duties were.Geography mattered, too: Cities were more likely to have remote-friendly jobs, according to an OECD analysis, but many rural areas sought to attract workers who could now work from anywhere. The shift to remote work didn't completely end once offices reopened for in-person work: According to another survey from Pew Research Center, 59% of respondents were still working remotely in 2022.ClickUp used Census Bureau data from the 2021 American Community Survey to rank the counties in Missouri with the largest pe...Kiszla vs. Durando: Who is the Avalanche’s most valuable player in 2022-23?

Kiz: After the victory parade ended and the Avs took the Stanley Cup on a world tour, very little went according to plan for the defending champs. This whole season has felt wonky, off-kilter and a little cursed. But well, well, well. Look at the Avs now, with a real chance to steal first place in the Central Division as the regular season comes down the stretch. Who is the team’s most valuable player during a challenging year?Durando: Say what you want about the inconsistencies that have made this season feel blemished, but there’s one constant that still separates the Avalanche: Their three best players are better than your team’s three best players. If the NHL shared the same hot-take TV space as the NBA, there would be a constant debate of where Cale Makar, Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen rank among other generational Big Threes. All three are playing out of their minds this season. None would be a wrong answer. I lean Rantanen, but MacKinnon is third in th...Aurora man convicted of murdering toddler will get new trial, Colorado Supreme Court rules

The Colorado Supreme Court on Monday ordered a new trial for an Aurora man convicted of murdering his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son in 2012.A divided court found that an error in jury selection entitles Theodore Israel Madrid, 42, to a new jury trial. Madrid was convicted of first-degree murder and two counts of child abuse resulting in death for the killing of Caden Rogers on Jan. 4, 2011.Prosecutors at the time argued that Madrid was high and drunk while babysitting the boy, became angry with the toddler and threw the boy across the room. Madrid then waited two hours before calling 911 for help, authorities alleged at the time.He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. But more than a decade after that conviction, the Colorado Supreme Court on Monday found that a prosecutor’s shifting reasons for dismissing a potential juror who was Black mean Madrid’s convictions should be wiped and the man granted a new jury trial.Justice Carlos Samour ...Megabus, Burlington Trailways partner to add bus service from Denver to destinations east
